Junelocs is a loc care business in Columbia, Maryland, led by CEO and founder Katy D Jean, who works as a loctician. The studio works with locs at many stages, from starter loc creation and loc extensions to regular maintenance, retwists and repairs.

Katy has been developing her hair care skills since 2016 and is currently training to become a Master Loctician through KrisMcDred Academy. She describes the standard of the business as quality, care and expertise in every interaction, with the aim of serving past, present and future clients.

The signature Maintenance Experience is the core visit. It runs about 155 minutes from $190 and includes a shampoo, scalp massage, comb retwist, scalp oil treatment and light styling. Locs with 100 or more pieces, heavy new growth, matted roots or lengths past hip length may carry an added charge.

Each appointment requires a booking retainer that is applied to the balance. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice; later changes forfeit the retainer and require half the service fee before rebooking, and same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged the full fee. Arrivals have a 15-minute grace period, after which a late fee of $40 may apply at the stylist's discretion. Before-hours, after-hours and same-day squeeze-in visits cost extra and need approval. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.

Concerns about a service should be raised during the visit or within 24 hours. Clients are asked to disclose allergies, scalp concerns, relevant health conditions, pregnancy or physical limitations, since the business may adjust or decline a service for safety. The business may also refuse or stop service for inappropriate, aggressive or unsafe behavior, or suspected intoxication. Hours run Monday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday 8 AM to 5:30 PM, Wednesday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 2 PM to 7 PM.
