Julien Farel

The business was started by Julien Farel and is run with Suelyn Farel, who is co-founder and CEO of the salon and spa and of Farel Haircare, a haircare line she and Julien developed and launched together. Julien has been the official US Open hairstylist to the Players since 2007, and the US Open Style Suite, a pop-up salon and spa, offers services to players and VIP guests. A 2024 Vogue article describes the salon as the only hair salon at the US Open. According to the salon, clients of Julien's hair work have included Kate Moss, Greta Gerwig, Catherine Deneuve, Salma Hayek and Richard Gere.

The New York location sits inside the Loews Regency Hotel and is a beauty and spa space of about 10,000 square feet. It has nine multi-service VIP rooms, relaxation areas including a spa lounge, steam rooms and a salon lounge, and an accessible entrance through the hotel lobby on Park Avenue. Julien and Suelyn created the Power Hour there, a one-hour visit in which a client can receive three services at the same time. Hours are Monday to Saturday 8:00AM to 6:00PM and Sunday 10:00AM to 3:00PM, and clients are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before a treatment.

The Palm Beach location offers hair, hair color, styling and makeup services, along with private bookings and events. It provides complimentary parking and a complimentary shuttle from The Breakers. Hours are 8AM to 5PM Monday to Saturday from October 14 to May 26, and 8:30AM to 6PM Tuesday to Saturday from May 27 to October 13, closed Sundays, with Mondays also closed in the off season. Clients are encouraged to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.

Located in Southampton Village, the Southampton location is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9AM to 6PM, all year. Hair services span haircuts, blowouts, extensions, braiding, hot tool styling, and bridal and special event styling. The spa menu features the Natura Bissé Oxygen Facial and the Vitamin C and C Facial, along with dermaplaning and microdermabrasion. The location hosts private bookings and events. Parking is free: spaces run behind the building, and a small number sit close to the entrance.

The salon says it is a partner of Natura Bissé and uses its products in all spa treatments, and it says Natura Bissé was named World's Best Spa Brand at the World Spa Awards in 2021 and again in 2026. The salon also says it is one of only a handful of places in the world offering facials, manicures and pedicures at the same time. Visitors must be at least 16, and younger guests need an adult aged 16 or older with them in the spa area. Bookings require a credit card number, and cancellations need 24 hours notice to avoid a full charge. A 4.5% tax is added to each bill, gratuity is not included, and the salon suggests 20%. Product returns must be requested within 30 days in unused, original packaging, and refunds are not issued, only exchanges or replacements. Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned.

The salon says its work is built around lasting success and lasting relationships with clients.
