JL Styles has two locations: a salon at 431 N. Main St. in downtown Milford and a salon at 113 N. Michigan Ave. in downtown Howell. The Howell salon is housed in a historic building in the alley district of downtown Howell. The salon describes itself as a woman-owned business.

Hair color, hair extensions and blowouts are also offered, along with Brazilian Blowout and Keratin Complex smoothing treatments. Esthetician and nail services are offered alongside the hair services.

Cancellations need 24 hours notice. A second late cancellation by phone requires a card on file and a 50% deposit to book the next appointment. A no-call, no-show requires payment in full before booking the next service, and the salon may refuse clients who repeat it. Brazilian Blowouts require a $100 deposit at booking, and purchasing hair for an extension appointment serves as the deposit that holds the appointment.
