The salon is at 602 Anderson Ave. in Cliffside Park, and the Cliffside Park Municipal Lot at 701 Anderson Ave. is about a five-minute walk away.

A CurlyCut is cut on dry curls in their natural state and shaped to each client's preferences. The visit includes a hydrating cleanse, conditioning, curl coaching (a styling lesson) and a product combination chosen for the client's curl type. Stylists also explain hair care, product use and how to manage curls at home. Prices vary with hair length, thickness, texture and health.

Color services include a semi-permanent, ammonia-free glaze, single process root touch-ups, single process with glaze, all over bleach, base color changes and hand-painted Pintura Highlights, which are finished with toner. Double process and color correction are priced individually, and color correction begins with an in-person consultation. Large color services need a $50 or $100 deposit credited toward the service.

Booking is by appointment only, by phone or email. Requests should name a stylist or say any stylist, and offer three days and times; replies can take 24 to 48 hours. Appointments not confirmed by text or call are cancelled automatically, and arriving 10 or more minutes late brings a fee of $10 or more. The salon is closed Sunday and Monday, open Tuesday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, though hours may change. Cash payment takes 5% off the hair service, and cards carry a 4% service fee; tips are accepted in cash only.

Each client gets a shape customized to their curls, and stylists teach styling, product choice and at-home curl care as part of the visit.
