jaykay salon operates from a suite at the Arapahoe Road address in Englewood. The studio is run by Kaylie Johnson, and appointments are booked through the hairsbykaylie name.

Kaylie began working as a hairstylist in 2014, after training at the Aveda Institute. She started out as an assistant while still in training and completed an assistant program before moving into stylist work. Her specialties are lived-in color and hand-tied extensions.

Each visit is meant to feel personal and special to the client. Kaylie enjoys hearing clients' stories and watching their hair change alongside them over time.

Color services are paired with a blowdry or a cut, and appointments can be extended by 15 or 30 minutes at no extra charge. Extension clients who are new to the studio, or who have not booked extensions before, are asked to start with a consultation so color can be matched and hair ordered.

Each appointment is built around the individual client, with a consultation first for color-matching and extension work.
