James Corbett Studio began in 2007 as a space in a loft above Union Square and moved to its current Flatiron District location in 2012. The studio describes itself as an award-winning, full-service hair salon.

About

The current space has a beauty boutique that sells haircare and beauty brands selected by James Corbett, a meditation garden and a color bar. The color bar was designed around the idea that hair does not respond the same way for everyone, so color is shaped around each client rather than a single formula.

Services fall into three groups: color, haircuts and styling, and makeup application. Color covers gloss treatments, single process color and half or full head highlights. Haircuts and styling include women's and men's cuts, blowdries, updos and a Philip B. deep conditioning treatment, and makeup services cover everyday makeup and bridal makeup application and construction, which are priced on request.

The studio says four out of five clients give James Corbett the freedom to choose their hair color, and it describes its colorists and stylists as expert and vetted by him. Clients can also book online through a Boulevard client login page.

Styling combines the stylists' technical knowledge and current trends with the client's own input.
