JamaicasBeauty works on healthy hair and protective styles, and aims to fit each style to the way a client lives day to day. Its work is built around clients who are transitioning to natural hair and want styles that protect their hair while it grows out.

The business has two locations: a suite at My Salon Suite in Oak Brook, and a suite at 1995 West Jefferson Avenue in Naperville. Oak Brook is open Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 6pm, Friday 9am to 6pm, and Saturday 8:30am to 2pm, with Sunday hours from 12pm to 3pm on alternating weeks. It is closed on Mondays.

Boho Knotless Braids in the Med/Smedium size are priced at $300, Marley Twists in the long length are $250, and Men Two Strand braids and dreads are $80. For braiding services priced at $200 or more, braiding hair is supplied.

Booking and visit rules are strict and worth reading before an appointment. Clients need to give 24 hours notice to cancel; a missed cancellation window is charged the full service price and can lead to a ban from future appointments. Appointments run up to 30 minutes late, a $15 late fee applies after 15 minutes, and there are no same-day appointments or color services. Hair should arrive detangled and ready to shampoo with the previous style cut off, or a $25 fee applies. Payment is by cash or debit card, and deposits are non-refundable. Children and extra guests are not allowed in the salon unless they are being serviced.
