The menu centers on locs. Starter locs come in small, medium and large sizes, and there are several retwist options, from a partial retwist of the perimeter and parts to full retwists with add-ons such as a detox, braids, two strands or a petals bun. Interlocking maintenance is offered, and instant locs and loc extensions give a mature-looking loc style on the same day. Other installs include goddess locs, micro locs and faux, butterfly, knotless soft and invisible locs. Two-strand twists, silk presses (with or without permanent color) and flat twist updos round out the list, and braided styles include stitch braids, Fulani braids and take downs.

Every visit is by appointment, and walk-ins are not taken. Mondays are booked by request through the online calendar. A non-refundable deposit is due at booking and goes toward the total, with the balance paid at the appointment; cash, credit card and Zelle are accepted. Shampoo is included with every service except braided styles. A consultation is required before a first-time loc install or a change of method, and optional for standard retwists and silk presses. Stylists also retwist locs installed by someone else, and a consultation is recommended when locs are thinning, matted or the method used is unknown. Reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice, and no-shows or same-day cancellations forfeit the deposit. Children under 12 may have their own appointment with a parent present.

The salon's own hair care line, The Lox Box, is made in Houston and sold in the salon and online. According to the salon, it was created to offer better ingredients for hair care. The lineup includes a complete hair care bundle, an alcohol-free styling gel, a moisturizing butter, a scalp and hair oil and a hydration mist. The website also lists a Marilyn Jae Cosmetics section.

Hair health comes first, with the aim of low-maintenance styles that last.
