The stylists work as a team, sharing techniques with one another and travelling for continuing education in cutting and color. Classes have taken them to Boston, New York, Chicago, Miami and California, and the team is trained on professional Wella and Redken systems. The salon also runs an in-house apprenticeship program that one of its stylists developed.

A color visit starts with a consultation that covers hair history, what the client is hoping for and how much upkeep they want to commit to. Balayage is always preceded by a consultation as well. Balayage is painted freehand rather than placed in foils, and placement is planned around hair length, layers and how the client usually wears it. Partial and full balayage are both finished with a toner to keep warmth in check, and pricing depends on length, density and color history. Highlights are offered as bright foils, and fashion colors include pinks, blues, greens and custom shades.

Beyond color, the salon offers precision cuts, blowouts with optional curls or a flat iron, keratin smoothing, eyelash extensions, brow shaping and waxing. Bridal services include trials, day-of hair, updos, event makeup and makeup for the wedding party. A small boutique on site sells costume jewelry, headbands, scarves, hats, sunglasses and nail items, and most of the products used in the salon are also sold at retail.

The team shares techniques and keeps learning, with the goal that clients feel good about their hair, their stylist and the visit.
