J. Lynn Styles operates as a private salon studio in Arlington, Virginia, inside Salon Lofts Ballston at 4500 Wilson Blvd. Loft 2. Clients are seen one-on-one, and the studio serves people throughout Arlington, Northern Virginia, and the greater DMV area.

Color is planned around each client's natural base, previous color, hair density, condition, daily routine, and how much maintenance they want to do. Rather than working from a standard formula, the studio builds the service around those details. Options range from base retouches to all-over color, and dimensional work includes customized balayage, dimensional brunette color, and highlights placed with intent.

Pricing is a single hourly rate of $115, based on the time the custom result needs. Styling and treatments needed for the service are included, with no a la carte add-ons. Before a service begins, the goals, service plan, estimated timing, and cost are lined up together. New clients are asked to review the service options and any consultation requirements before booking. Gratuity is not expected.

Garage parking is available within walking distance at the Target Parking Garage on N. Glebe Rd. and the Ballston Public Parking Garage on N. Glebe Rd.

Each color service is planned individually. The salon looks at a client's natural shade, any color already on the hair, how thick the hair is, its condition, the client's daily routine, and how much upkeep they want. It does not rely on a standard formula.
