Izzazu was founded by Emilio Cornacchione and Gino Chiodo. The salon operates downtown at 301 Fifth Avenue (phone 412-325-1600), North in Warrendale at 101 Fowler Rd (724-933-0100), and South at 1720 Washington Rd in the South Hills (412-833-1660). The salon describes its aim as bringing beauty and wellness together.

About

Options include haircuts for children, students, men and women, smoothing blowouts, all-over color, partial and full highlights, balayage, updos and formal styles. Extensions are offered in hand-tied, K-Tip and tape-in methods, with pricing set at a consultation. Smoothing and conditioning treatments include Olaplex, Baco Silk Glaze, a Brazilian Blowout and the NKST Keratin Complex, which the salon describes as an award-winning keratin treatment. Toner is available as an add-on to highlights and balayage to tone down warm or brassy shades.

The InsideOut Beauty Facials run from a short Skinbar Mini facial, which includes a skin assessment and a customized routine while hair processes, to a Signature Floating Facial with a double cleanse, extractions, exfoliation, massage and a cool lifting treatment. In between are a Deep Exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and fine hair, a Pro-Power Peel that blends three acids, and Cool Lifting, which uses a CO2 cooling gun.

Cloud 9 Headspa is a newer service line built on the Davines Naturaltech headspa program. It includes five services, from the Scalp Detox Ritual to the Enchante Blowout Experience, and Davines Haircare products are also sold at retail.

Prices are starting prices and vary by stylist. A credit or debit card must be kept on file for all clients, though cash and check are accepted. First-time bookings require a 50% payment or a card on file, which covers future visits. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged 50% of the service price and no-call no-shows are charged in full. Card payments carry a 3% convenience fee. A 10% student discount is offered by select stylists with a valid student ID. Hours differ by location: downtown lists Tuesday through Saturday hours, while North and South are open Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday. Parking is in the Oliver Garage downtown (not validated), with free lots at North (Fairmont Square) and South.
