New clients are asked to book a consultation before their first appointment. The consultation is an hour alone with the stylist to talk through what the client needs. It must be scheduled at least three days ahead of the appointment it leads to.
Booking takes a $25 deposit, paid through Apple Pay, Zelle or Cash App. The stylist sends a confirmation text once the deposit arrives, and an automated email goes out 24 hours before the appointment. Text reminders can be requested when booking. The remaining balance is paid in cash; electronic payments of the balance carry a $10 fee. Bookings need an appointment date in the booking note, or the deposit is returned and the appointment is cancelled.
Clients can earn Hair Bucks by booking appointments, on their birthday, by referring friends and family, by leaving a review, or by donating to the hair bucket. Hair Bucks apply to services only and must be presented at the visit to be used.
