The salon describes itself as very knowledgeable in natural hair care and as a go-to for styling, hair care and maintenance. Its founder, Lorraine, began her work in the Virgin Islands and has more than 20 years in natural hair care. The salon also says it offers the best products, service and staff, a claim it makes about itself.
The salon has been featured on FOX 29 News, in the Natural Woman Online Magazine's 2015 summer edition, and in a documentary about the salon. It has attended The Lock Conference and The Annual Locs Conference for 15 years, and sells products at natural hair conferences.
Braiding services require a $50 deposit to secure an appointment, and other appointments require a $25 deposit. Deposits are non-refundable for no-call, no-show clients on the day of the appointment. Walk-ins are welcome for nail services, though appointments are preferred.
