Isla Salon was established in Denver in 2021 and was co-founded by Danni Gordon, who also created VIE Hair Extensions. The salon describes itself as a luxury hair salon in the heart of Denver with a boutique feel.

About

The interior is designed in a high-end style that pairs comfort with polish. It blends Scandinavian minimalism with Mediterranean warmth and uses micro cement surfaces throughout. According to the salon, the ambiance is relaxing and inviting.

A first visit starts with a new client application form, after which a client coordinator reaches out to finalize details. New clients are encouraged to call, and a 15-minute consultation is recommended for new clients, extensions and major color changes; consultations are required before extensions and color correction. Balayage can be planned through a virtual consultation. Appointments can be booked online, through Vagaro, or by calling the reception desk, and clients can request a specific stylist. Walk-ins are accepted, though booking ahead is recommended, and the salon does not keep a waiting list, so clients can call for last-minute openings.

The menu covers color, color correction, balayage, cuts, extensions, styling, luxury hair services and treatments. Hand-tied extensions are placed in sections of natural hair and blended, and clip-ins, tape-ins and sew-ins are also offered. Luxury treatments use Kérastase masks and Olaplex products. Bridal and wedding hair and styling for events and photoshoots are offered in-house and on-site.

Every stylist has worked at least two years behind the chair before taking clients, and the salon states it does not employ novice stylists. The salon is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Garage parking is on the first floor of the building, with four hours of free validated parking available by scanning the code at the reception desk, and nearby street and garage parking is also available.

Consultation-first: color plans and extension quotes are built after an assessment of hair type, texture, color, skin tone, style preferences and lifestyle. The salon says client satisfaction comes from personalized consultations, quality products and skilled stylists.
