A visit usually starts with a free consultation to look at the scalp before color, cut or treatment choices are made. Consultations look for sensitivities such as scalp sensitivities, hair loss and skin allergies, and the salon advises which hair products suit each client. A Tricho-Derm scalp analysis, which gives a magnified view of the hair follicles and scalp, costs $10 and is complimentary when added to a consultation booking. Out-of-state clients can book a virtual consultation. Stylists talk through style and color preferences before each service.

The menu covers balayage with toner included, highlights, Foilyage, color melt, gray blending, ombre, reverse balayage and vivid color. Haircuts and styling are offered for men, women, children and curly hair. Smoothing and straightening treatments, organic perms, holistic scalp treatments, buildup removal, waxing, tinting, a basic facial and wedding updos round out the list. Balayage and color prices are set by stylist level, and some specialty color is priced after consultation.

New guests can take advantage of a first-time deal on the Ultimate Hair Service Trifecta, which combines a one-process color, precision cut and trendy style for $165 with a Level 1 stylist. The loyalty color program is for clients who book color every four weeks or less. Loyalty members can add one free perk per month to an existing color or haircut appointment, though vivid colors are not included. Clients can book online at any time or by text, and the online system also handles group bookings for friends and family, packages and gift cards.

The salon has a few booking rules to know. New guests pay a 50% deposit to secure an appointment. Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the services booked, and a $25 fee may apply to a third reschedule or cancellation of the same appointment. A $25 late fee may apply to arrivals more than 15 minutes late. The salon also says it donates time to children in San Antonio and takes part in local community events.

Services are built around hair health, starting with a look at the scalp, and the salon uses ammonia-free methods.
