Intermezzo Nails works from a private studio in Naperville with a calm setting. The studio focuses only on gel polish and hard gel, so the menu stays centered on those techniques.

Services fall under extensions, manicures, nail art, pedicures and repairs. Hard gel extensions start at $105 and usually take about 150 minutes or more. Soft gel manicures start at $65 for roughly 75 minutes or more, and builder gel overlays start at $85 for about 90 minutes or more; builder gel is for natural nail length only, not with extensions. Freehand and design nail art starts at $6 and takes about 10 minutes or more, and e-file dry pedicures start at $55 for around 40 minutes or more.

Nail fixes are free if a nail breaks or gel chips within seven days of an appointment. After that, repairs start at $3 and take about 15 minutes. Nail art and complex designs need extra time, so if that time was not booked, a design may not be finished in one visit.

Booking terms: appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice or missed carry a 50% cancellation fee. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes late may shorten the service or move it to another time. In an emergency, clients can contact the studio to reschedule without losing their deposit, but repeated last-minute changes may lead to future bookings being refused, and deposits are not refunded. Clients should mention any gel allergies, heat sensitivity during curing, or past chemical reactions before booking. Services are for clients 16 and older, and younger clients may be accepted with parental consent. A service may be declined if signs of infection, fungus, onycholysis or other unhealthy nail or skin conditions are present.

Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 8 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM, and closed Wednesday and Sunday.
