In Bloom is a boutique salon in Seattle that pairs hair services with permanent cosmetics. The space is bright and filled with plants, with natural light coming through historic storefront windows, and the salon describes it as modern, airy and welcoming.

Hair services cover cuts, color and treatments. The Lived In Haircut ($115, one to one and a half hours) includes a scalp cleanse, toner when needed, a scalp massage and a blowout, and Wash + Style ($100, one hour) offers the cleanse, massage and blowout without a cut. Color options include a tone-refreshing gloss with a customized toner, a Root Melt that blends roots with an all-over gloss to soften earlier highlights, a deeper all-over color starting at $200, and a non-lifting root color starting at $130 that includes gray coverage. A $55 add-in applies a K18 molecular repair mist before lightening color and finishes with a leave-in treatment.

Permanent cosmetic services cover brow shaping, lip blush and eyeliner. Touch-up cost depends on the time elapsed since the original procedure. A first touch-up taken six to eight weeks after the procedure costs nothing. Touch-ups done within 16 weeks after that first one are $150. Later touch-ups range from $275, when 7 to 12 months have passed, to $400 for work at 25 to 30 months. Between 31 and 40 months, a fresh session is required; a single-session touch-up is $450 and must be arranged with the salon before booking. Beyond three years, standard pricing applies. Work performed by other artists is not eligible for these touch-up rates.

Booking details: a free 15-minute virtual consultation is offered at the start or end of the day and is booked by email. Permanent cosmetic services require a $100 plus tax non-refundable deposit that is applied to the final cost. Clients are asked to review listed medical screening conditions and sign consent forms before appointments. Reschedules need at least 72 hours' notice, and deposits are forfeited for cancellations and no-shows, which are charged 50 percent of the service cost to the card on file. Appointments can be transferred once, the salon accepts cash or card only, and sales tax is collected at payment. Permanent makeup services are not refundable in cash or credit. Prices may change without notice, but existing appointments keep the price set at booking.
