Founder Quinisha Reid created the iModel brand in Peoria, Illinois in 2012, and after moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2014 she began the hair side of the business, which now includes hair extensions, lace wigs, magnetic lashes and organic hair care.

The stated mission is to offer luxury beauty services delivered by trained industry professionals for men and women of color. The salon describes itself as the number one luxury spa in Jonesboro, GA, and says it has been mentioned in Sheen Magazine, Voyage Magazine and KISH Magazine. It also reports a 2022 R.I.C.E. Awards Founders Rising Star Award and a 2022 Best of Georgia Award in the esthetician category. A facial visit starts with a consultation about skin, current routine and goals, and the treatment is chosen from that conversation. Facials are performed by licensed estheticians. Massage sessions are led by licensed massage therapists, who will adjust pressure and focus on areas of tension once clients explain their comfort level. Before waxing, estheticians talk through skin, hair-removal habits and comfort, and clients are asked to mention retinoid use, recent exfoliation, irritation or other products. Brow appointments begin with a conversation about shape and finish.

Facials run from $75 for the Refresh Facial to $175 for the iModel Detox Facial, with a men's King Facial at $150 that targets ingrown hairs, razor bumps and acne. Massage options include a 60-minute iModel Signature Massage at $99, a 90-minute version at $130, a 90-minute iModel Deluxe Massage at $180, and couples massage. Waxing is priced from $15 for lip waxing to $120 for a full body wax, and brow services range from $30 to $50. Memberships are available for Glow Plus facials, Smooth Plus Brazilian waxing and Restore Plus massage, billed monthly under a membership agreement. Gift cards are sold. Walk-ins are welcome, and same-day appointments can be requested by phone or booked through Mangomint. Online payments are taken by credit card, debit card and Sezzle, and in-store payments are also accepted.

The iModel Academy runs a 12-week Beauty, Health and Wellness Program for students in grades 7 to 10. It covers skincare education, DIY skincare labs, goal setting and business planning, and ends with a certificate of completion. Corporate Self-Care Day brings chair massage to workplaces through three packages: Wellness Essentials at $2,500 for 5 hours with 2 licensed massage therapists, Signature Unwind Day at $4,200 for 6 hours with 3 therapists, and the iModel Elite Experience at $6,500 for 7 to 8 hours with 3 therapists. Corporate bookings require a 50% deposit to hold the date, include travel within Clayton County, and a 3-week advance notice is recommended. The company also publishes a 60-day free returns policy for its skincare line.
