Huntersville Institute of Cosmetic Arts

The school was established in 2022 and operates as Huntersville Institute of Cosmetic Arts, LLC. It is bonded and licensed, and its cosmetic arts licenses are overseen by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Arts. The core program is a 600-hour accelerated esthetics course aimed at building the theory and hands-on skill needed for state licensure. The curriculum covers infection control, facials, waxing, lash lifts, brow lamination, artificial lashes, makeup, microdermabrasion, galvanic current, micro-needling, high-frequency, dermaplaning, radio-frequency, acne and anti-aging treatments, body treatments, aromatherapy, business skills and state board preparation. Students work on live models as part of the required training. Finishing the course does not itself grant a license; graduates must pass the state board examinations. The total program cost is listed at $7,407, with payment options available.

Spa clients book with student estheticians, who work under the supervision of licensed professionals. Appointments are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and can be requested by phone, text or email. Accepted payment methods are Zelle, cash, Venmo and checks, and student gratuities are welcome. Loyal customers receive $25 off their fifth service.

The school also offers continuing education for licensed cosmetic arts professionals, including body sugaring training and continuing education credits. A self-paced online class helps currently licensed cosmetologists and estheticians prepare for the North Carolina instructor licensure exams. Classrooms can be reserved for delivering content on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Students train in the theory and practical skills needed for licensure, and spa services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed professionals.
