Honor Skin Studio

Honor Skin Studio was founded by licensed esthetician Allie Risha, who moved into esthetics after about a decade working on the corporate side of retail. The studio is in suite 134 at Phenix Salon Suites, and its booking, reminders and gift cards are handled directly through the studio.

The facial menu comes in three lengths. The 40-minute Mini Refresh can be adjusted to suit each guest. The 60-minute Honor 60 starts with exfoliation and pore clearing, then moves into a hand and arm rub and a sculpting facial massage. Depending on skin type and concerns, the session may also be extended with dermaplaning, an ice globe massage, gua sha, specialty masks, a jade comb scalp massage, microcurrent, or high frequency or LED light therapy. The 90-minute Honor 90 covers everything in the Honor 60 and allows more time for personalizing the appointment. The Honor 60 is a good fit for first-time guests and for those booking monthly upkeep.

The Advanced Chemical Peel ($95, existing clients only) uses Linder Health's Hero Peel. According to the studio, this peel addresses fine lines and wrinkles, smooths texture, and fades discoloration such as yellowing, dark spots and redness. Dermaplaning ($45) is also for existing clients, requires at least one prior facial and a skin analysis, and is booked by contacting the studio directly.

Reservations require a credit card, which is charged only for late cancellation or no-show fees. Changes need 24 hours' notice; shorter notice is charged 50% of the service and a no-show is charged the full cost. Same-day cancellations can be sent by text, not through Instagram. Arriving up to 10 minutes late shortens the treatment with the full cost still due, and arriving later means rescheduling with a 50% charge. Clients under 18 need a parent present at the first appointment to sign a form, and the studio does not see clients under 16. Clients should stop retinoids and chemical exfoliants at least 24 hours before a visit.

The studio keeps skin care simple, both in the treatment room and in the routine a client takes home. Each facial starts with an evaluation of the client's skin, followed by a targeted home-care plan suited to their lifestyle.
