The salon opened on January 5, 2016 with three chairs and two stylists, after its first space was renovated in late December 2015. Over the following years it grew to 8 stylists, 1 lash artist and 1 esthetician, and it moved to its current Buford location in fall 2021. The salon describes itself as not a traditional beauty shop and focuses on building lasting client relationships and community across North Metro Atlanta. It also describes its services and products as top-notch.
Its specialties are natural and dimensional hair color, Invisible Bead Extensions, keratin smoothing treatments, and services for guests moving toward natural or grey hair. Color visits include a blowout and styling, and most blonding sessions include a glaze. Extensions begin with an extensive consultation and maintenance education before anything is purchased or installed. Keratin Express Blowout is a smoothing option for fine to medium hair that reduces frizz and drying time, seals in color and adds shine to all hair types, and the salon says it lasts up to six weeks.
New guests can join the waitlist and complete a new guest consultation form. The Cut and Consult package is a first visit with a haircut and a conversation about next steps, and it includes no color. Reminders go out 48 hours before an appointment to the contact details a guest provides. Visitors are welcome to stop by Tuesday through Saturday to talk or look at the space.
Policies are firm. Guests running 10 or more minutes late should let the salon know, and arrivals more than 30 minutes late are treated as no-shows and charged a fee. No-shows must pay in full when booking their next visit. Changes or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice carry a fee of half the service price, payable by invoice before rebooking; the salon describes this policy as strict and enforced. If the salon has to cancel or move an appointment at short notice, it offers a new time without a fee. Adjustments to results are offered within two weeks of an appointment by calling the salon, but they do not cover a change of mind or extra free services. No refunds of any kind are offered.
