The business was founded by owner Courtney Lynn as a more intentional alternative to traditional salon and spa visits. It moved from its Geneva Commons location to downtown Campton Hills and Wasco, about five miles away, and says it was the first Japanese head spa opened in Geneva, Illinois.

Head spa rituals are offered for adults, teens, children and fathers, and each session includes an integrated facial. Botanical blends are mixed during the visit with ingredients such as matcha, hibiscus and herbal infusions, chosen for the client's scalp and skin. The Scalp Microscope & Botanical Cocktail add-on uses one of three blends (growth, hydration or detox) selected after a scalp scan consultation, and the business describes it as its most popular add-on.

Visits are one-on-one and fully private. The business works by appointment only, and the door unlocks at the booked time, so clients are asked to arrive then; arriving early does not guarantee early entry. Parking is private, gift cards are sold, and all sales are final with no returns. Hot tea is included with service.

Beyond the head spa menu there are hair color, cuts, blowouts, a frizz treatment, brow waxing and tinting, a holistic botanical facial, and multi-session series for new mothers and for monthly resets.
