Leah Lattus founded Holistic Hair Studio in 2021. Free street parking is available, and the studio is near major bus routes and bike paths.

The studio focuses on organic, non-toxic hair care with attention to the health of clients, stylists and the environment. Color is done with O&M CØR.color, which is free of ammonia, PPD, resorcinol and parabens, and hair care and styling use the OWAY line. The salon describes O&M CØR.color as the purest professional color line available, and says its services are safe for pregnancy, allergies and sensitive scalps. It also says its clean air environment protects clients and stylists from harmful fumes.

Visits are by appointment only, Tuesday through Saturday. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and arriving more than 15 minutes late may be treated as a no-show. Services are non-refundable, though clients can raise concerns about the outcome with their stylist within a week for adjustments. Clients are asked to skip perfume, cologne and heavily scented products.

Waste is recycled through Green Circle Salons, including hair clippings, excess color and foils. Clients can bring empty OWAY shampoo, conditioner or treatment bottles to the refill bar for refilling. The studio also hosts an annual Cut-A-Thon for charity. Stylists are independent professionals who set their own hours, prices and services, so rates can vary by expertise, specialty and services provided. The studio invites Virginia licensed cosmetologists to submit resumes to join the team.
