Hera Salon was founded by Beth Ostrowski in 2012 and was known as Hera Cut & Color Boutique before taking its current name. Cousins David and Brett Galloway bought the salon in January 2016, and it continues to be run as a family business.

The salon operates as a booth rental, so independent stylists rent space here and manage their own work. Five stylists are currently on staff, including Brett Galloway, who is one of the owners and also works behind the chair.

Services are grouped into haircare, hair color, texture treatments and special event styling. Haircare covers children's, men's and women's cuts, shampoo and blowouts, and conditioning treatments. Color ranges from full and partial highlighting and balayage to ombre, demi-permanent color, glazes and toners, and corrective color. Texture options include permanent waves and several smoothing treatments. Event styling covers bridal trials, bridal up-dos, bridal party up-dos and up-dos for special occasions.
