Visits are usually 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the service and the area being treated. The salon recommends that hair be about the length of a grain of rice, roughly two to three weeks of growth, before a visit. Appointments are usually booked every four to six weeks, and the salon says results typically last three to four weeks.

Memberships are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time without a fee. Each membership covers one service per month of a chosen service type and area, with a new voucher each month; unused vouchers roll over if a client misses a month. Members save up to 20 percent, can freeze or cancel at no charge, and can use the membership at any Hello Sugar location, subject to availability. Clients who want another area or type need a separate membership.
