Waxing and sugaring are offered for the arms, back, buttocks, chest and stomach, legs, face and neck, underarms, and Brazilian areas. Before a visit, hair needs to reach roughly the size of a grain of rice, which generally means two to three weeks of growth. Appointments typically run 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the service and area, and regular clients usually rebook every four to six weeks. According to the salon's website, results generally last three to four weeks, and with consistent treatments hair tends to come back finer and more slowly. The salon also says certain coarse hair types, such as men's beard hair, are not suited to hair removal.

The salon uses four different waxes and sugars and selects among them to suit each client's skin and hair. Sugar paste is used to remove hair and exfoliate the skin, and the salon says clients with sensitive skin often prefer sugaring because the paste adheres mainly to the hair. Every esthetician completes advanced certification focused on pain-reduction techniques, and aestheticians complete a three-month program to become certified in the salon's sugaring technique. The salon states that its training goes beyond standard aesthetics school. Hello Sugar welcomes women, men, and all skin and hair types. First-time clients can review preparation, appointment, and aftercare details on the first-timers page, and the cancellation and no-show and return and refund policies are published online.

A monthly membership covers one service per month of the chosen type and area, with a new voucher added each month. Unused vouchers roll over if a member cannot come in that month. Memberships bill monthly, can be frozen or canceled at any time without a fee, and can be used at any Hello Sugar location subject to availability. Members save up to 20% on services, and the Lifetime All-Access Pass offers laser hair removal on a monthly membership. Members can sign up online or with a team member during an appointment. Clients can also book online and through the Hello Sugar app.
