Services are built around waxing and sugaring. Sugar paste removes hair and exfoliates the skin, while wax removes hair from the root. The salon keeps four different waxes and sugars and chooses one to suit each client's skin. Services are customized, and the salon says it welcomes all genders and all skin and hair types. The stated focus is on comfort, results and a judgment-free visit. Every esthetician completes advanced certification centered on pain-reduction techniques. Most appointments take 15 to 30 minutes depending on the service and area.

For best results with hair removal, the salon asks that hair be about the length of a grain of rice, usually two to three weeks of growth. Waxing and sugaring are typically booked every four to six weeks. The salon says results usually last three to four weeks, depending on hair growth cycles, and that consistent treatments tend to leave hair finer and slower to regrow over time. According to the FAQ, men's beard hair can be too coarse for waxing or sugaring.

A membership program covers waxing, sugaring or laser services. Members receive one service of their chosen type each month, with a new voucher each month that rolls over if unused. Memberships are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time with no cancellation fee or further commitment. The salon says members can save up to 20 percent on services. Memberships can be used at any Hello Sugar location, subject to service and appointment availability, and can be signed up for online or in person. The Lifetime All-Access Pass covers laser hair removal pricing.

Bookings are made through the Hello Sugar website or the mobile app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play. The salon has a cancellation and no-show policy. Hours are Monday 10:30 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday 9 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday 9 AM to 7 PM, Thursday 2 PM to 7 PM, Friday 8 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM.
