About

Hello Sugar is part of Hello Brands and works as a Brazilian wax and sugaring salon. The business describes itself as an all-in-one hair removal salon centered on comfort, results and a non-judgmental experience. It welcomes clients of all genders and all skin and hair types, including sensitive skin, coarse hair and fine hair.

The salon keeps four waxes and sugars on hand and picks the one that suits each client. Sugaring is often a good option for clients with sensitive skin, because its paste adheres mostly to the hair instead of the skin. Visits generally take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the service and the area treated. Waxing and sugaring are typically rebooked every four to six weeks, while laser sessions are usually spaced several weeks apart. For a waxing or sugaring appointment, hair needs to be roughly the size of a grain of rice, which usually means two to three weeks of regrowth. Waxing and sugaring results typically hold for three to four weeks. According to the salon, regular treatments tend to leave hair finer and slower-growing over time. The salon notes that men's beard hair may be too coarse to wax or sugar.

The North Babylon salon sits inside Phenix Salon Suites in a commercial plaza on the east side of Deer Park Avenue, beside Planet Fitness and ALDI, with free parking directly in front. Because the main entrance is locked before 10 AM and after 6 PM, clients use the suite directory to call the salon and the esthetician lets them in. Hours there are Monday to Wednesday 8 AM to 6 PM, Thursday to Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 7:30 PM. The Woodbury salon is at 8031 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 107, and can be reached by text. The Carle Place listing is at 1 Old Country Road, Suite 306 in Garden City, and the Oceanside listing is at 3000 Long Beach Road, Suite 19. Prices shown on the North Babylon services page are starting prices and vary by service.

Memberships are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time with no cancellation fee or added commitment. Members can freeze or cancel at no charge, according to the site. A membership covers one service per month of the chosen type and area, with a new voucher each month; unused vouchers roll over. Separate memberships are needed for member pricing in other areas. Memberships can be used at any Hello Sugar location, subject to service and appointment availability, and the salon says members save up to 20% on services. Memberships can be bought for waxing, sugaring or laser. New clients may see promotions that vary by location, and the salon advises checking the local location for current offers. The business has a published cancellation and no-show policy, and the Hello Sugar app is available on the App Store and Google Play.

The salon centers on comfort and choosing the right wax or sugar for each client, and it accepts all genders and all skin and hair types.
