The salon's approach centers on clean, low-toxic products and gentler methods for hair color. The suite uses organic haircare and eco-friendly cleaning products. The color lines are presented as sustainable and free of a long list of ingredients including P.P.D., resorcinol, ammonia, MEA, gluten, talc and propylene glycol. Some of the color lines contain natural ingredients, so clients with allergies are asked to list them on the intake form. Shampoos, conditioners and styling products are free of sulfates, parabens, silicones, phthalates and artificial fragrance.

A new client starts with a consultation form and sends photos of their current hair from the front, the top outgrowth and the length. Helen gets to know each client during this consultation before any color work, and customized haircuts include a facial analysis as part of the process.

Visits include complimentary WiFi, a coffee bar, snacks and parking. Appointments are booked through Gloss Genius, which sends a confirmation and reminders two days before and the morning of the visit. Rescheduling or cancelling requires 48 hours' notice to avoid a $50 fee. No-shows are charged 50% of the service fee, and more than one no-show removes pre-booking privileges. Adjustments are free when requested within one week and match the original consultation. Refunds are not offered for services, and retail sales are final, though exchanges are accepted. Payment is accepted by cash, Apple Cash, Zelle and credit cards, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000.
