About

Healing Beauty Project is a small skincare studio in downtown North Bend at 231 Bendigo Blvd N. The treatment room is a separate space behind the main building and is reached from the alley, where several parking spots sit behind the building and street parking is nearby. The main building is marked by signs for Little Si Acupuncture, and the bathroom is in the main building, up three stairs. The studio itself is level.

New clients start with the Initial Consult & Treatment, a 90-minute session that covers a discussion of the skin, a skin diagnosis and a custom facial. Teens 18 and under have a 60-minute Teen Treatment that serves as their first visit. After that, clients can book the 45-minute Attunement, the 90-minute Ritual or the Deep Dive, which runs up to 120 minutes and can add peels, more intensive massage, extended red light therapy or microcurrent. Every treatment is tailored to the individual's skin. A free virtual consultation is available before booking for anyone unsure whether the studio or a treatment suits them.

Clients are asked to come without heavy makeup; micellar water and cotton pads are provided if needed. Treatments include scalp massage, so hair can be oily or disheveled afterward, and clients are advised to drink water and protect their skin from the sun. The day after an appointment, a follow-up email lists the products used, links to them and suggests at-home routines at a range of price points. Clients who have had botox or filler should wait at least 10 days before a facial massage, and anyone with cold sores or a contagious infection is asked to cancel and rebook.

The studio mainly uses the Marie Veronique line, which the owner describes as the gold standard. Other lines in use include Le Mieux Skin Frequency, Sofie Pavitt Face and Florihana hydrosols and carrier oils. Retail products are not sold on site. Sugaring is no longer offered, and clients who want it are referred to partner colleagues who sugar.

Gratuities are built into the price of each service, so no added charges come on top. Clients who would rather give than tip can donate food or cash to the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank instead. Cancellation requires 24 hours' notice; a no-show incurs a fee of 50% of the service price. That fee is waived if the client sends a friend or relative to take the appointment, provided the service is of equal value. Payment is taken by credit card, Venmo or cash, and recurring clients may pay by check. Discount codes are available to people in cancer treatment, home caregivers, union members and workers, and regular volunteers with the North Bend food bank. Gift certificates can be bought for a particular treatment or for a set dollar amount on request.

Treats skin health as connected to balance across body, mind and spirit, and sees a daily routine, both topical and internal, as central to how skin looks and feels.
