Haus of Hudson

Melanie Adams founded Haus of Hudson after about ten years working as a licensed esthetician in a busy spa. The salon describes its aim as enhancing a client's natural beauty and style without making it look distracted or overdone, and it presents itself as a premier destination for luxury aesthetic treatments outside Baltimore.

Each lash is extended with an individual synthetic fiber, and an initial full set usually takes about 1.5 to 3.5 hours. The salon recommends refills every 2 to 3 weeks and asks clients to arrive with clean lashes, free of mascara, lash glue or oil. According to the salon, it has been doing lash extensions for over five years and has won Baltimore's Best Lash Bar award twice.

Brow services cover shaping and defining with brow design, plus brow tinting or henna, which is often added to a waxing appointment. Facial treatments address anti-aging, brightening and acne concerns and can be built into a custom skin care regimen. Facials use GM Collin skin care for European and clinical-style treatments. Aftercare guidance covers avoiding makeup for 24 hours, waiting 5 to 7 days before resuming exfoliants, reapplying SPF, and cleaning pillowcases and makeup brushes.

The salon also trains aspiring lash artists. Training is limited to currently licensed individuals who show proof of a current license, and it does not lead to a state license. Lessons move from live demonstrations to practice on mannequin heads and then to real models, and can be adapted to how each person learns. Mentor sessions cost $120 per hour and private lash extension training costs $1,050. Since October 1, 2025, Maryland has required an esthetic or cosmetology license to perform eyelash extensions.
