Haley Carmody Artistry is a permanent makeup studio in La Jolla, San Diego, with additional locations in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Aiea on Oahu, Hawaii. The Las Vegas studio sits inside Nine18 The Esthetic Collective and the Oahu studio sits inside The Beauty Cartel. Haley Carmody leads the studio as its permanent makeup artist and owner.

The studio focuses on permanent makeup, with nano brow and lip blush work as its core treatments. Before shifting to permanent cosmetics and teaching, Haley spent close to ten years working as a professional makeup artist. Nano brow treatments use very fine, individual-looking marks to add density where brows are thin or patchy, restore a shape that has been thinned by overplucking, and even out brows that sit unevenly. Clients may pick a soft powdered shading finish, or combine fine marks with powder for sharper definition and color that lasts longer.

Lip blush is a semi-permanent lip tint that enhances natural lip color, shape and symmetry. It comes as a classic solid tint or an ombré version with richer color along the lip edge and lighter tones toward the center. It can also restore faded color, even out tone and define the lip border without filler. For clients with melanin-rich lips or uneven lip pigmentation, dark lip neutralization is a corrective step done before lip blush to balance lip tone.

Every appointment starts with a consultation to review features, goals and the recommended service. A free virtual consultation is available by text. Nano brow appointments take about 2 to 3 hours and include consultation, brow mapping, numbing and treatment. Lip blush appointments take about 1 to 3 hours and include consultation, numbing, color selection and mapping. Topical numbing is applied before and during both services. Lips look brighter right after lip blush, and the color softens into its final tint over about 4 weeks. Touch-up visits can refine shape or color once healing is complete.

Nano brow results typically last about 1.5 to 2.5 years before a color refresh. Lip blush results last about 1 to 3 years, and most clients refresh their color every 18 to 36 months. The studio describes nano brows as suited to a wider range of skin types than microblading.

The studio also offers training in nano brows, lip blush, ombré lips and business foundations, with trainings held in San Diego, Las Vegas and Oahu. Nano brow training is beginner-friendly, requires no license, and combines online coursework with three in-person days that include live model work. Lip blush training is taught in person in San Diego on live models in small groups. Training seats are limited, and enrollment starts with a consultation to confirm the course fits. Apprenticeships are also available by application, with a six-month minimum commitment and monthly pay.

Work is guided by color theory, proportion and detail, with the aim of natural-looking results tailored to each client's features, skin tone and style. The studio considers the client experience as important as the results.
