Cutting is the salon's main focus, with several distinct approaches. Lived-in curl cuts are shaped around the hair's internal structure instead of using a dry-cutting system, and Asian hair cuts use controlled weight removal on dense, straight hair. According to the salon, it is the only stylist in the Washington, DC area and the DMV using scissor cutting with both hands. Men's cuts are done with scissors only, and clippers are not used.
Color appointments are booked with O Salon colorists Lucia, Aldina, Soner or Guillaume, who are assigned by the salon, with the time confirmed afterward. Bang trims are $35 for new clients and complimentary for returning clients. A two-week guarantee covers a haircut that is off, which is fixed at no extra charge, and a referral program gives credit toward future services. Children's cuts are offered only to children and relatives of existing clients.
