A visit starts with a private consultation, which is complimentary, where the stylist plans the look around the client's daily life and goals. Services are adjusted to the client and the condition of their hair. Consultations are also offered for color changes, extension work and general advice. Walk-ins are accepted when possible, though booking ahead is recommended. Appointments can be booked online through the booking link, by phone, or in the Hairapy Salon Go app. Guests who are unsure who to see can browse the team page or call the salon for a match.
The team takes several classes each year to keep up with trends, techniques and products. Stylists move through a level system that reflects their experience, the time they can give to clients and their ongoing education. Color is done with the Redken and Matrix lines, and the salon uses salon-grade products that it describes as premium. Retail options include Matrix, Redken, Living Proof, Olaplex and Biolage, and Blowdry Club memberships come with special retail offers.
Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice. Guests arriving more than 10 minutes late may need to rebook, and repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may require a deposit before future appointments can be booked. Major credit cards are accepted but checks are not. Credit card payments carry a 2.7% convenience fee. Tips cannot be added to a card; they can be paid in cash or through the tipping system, which carries a 3.5% processing fee. Pricing is confirmed after consultation.
Hours are Monday noon to 8 PM, Wednesday through Friday 9 AM to 8 PM, and Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM. The salon is closed on Tuesday and Sunday. The phone number is 732-317-4342.
