The salon's view is that what goes on the scalp matters and that care should nourish hair from the root. It puts long-term strand health ahead of quick chemical fixes or styles that cause damage. Products are made from raw fruits, vegetables, aloe vera and teas, and the salon describes them as clean and free of buildup.

A visit starts with a consultation, which is free and covers hair history, scalp concerns and goals. Every in-salon service begins with a complimentary steam shampoo, followed by a fresh hair smoothie blended with botanicals chosen for the client. Stylists recommend custom products and set out a plan for care between visits. The room is designed to feel calm and spa-like.

For a personalized routine, clients can complete a Custom Hair Blend questionnaire about hair texture, porosity and scalp goals. Products range from about $14 to $26 each.

The salon builds custom botanical blends and treatments around each client's natural hair, and it will advise against a color or installation technique that could compromise hair health.
