Hair Ludwig is an independent studio with one chair, run by Ludwig, who has owned it since 2008. It is on North Clark Street in Chicago.
The studio is intimate by design, so each client has the stylist's full attention for the appointment. The space is cozy and artistic, and original paintings by Ludwig are displayed there.
Services cover cuts, single process color, partial and full highlights, relaxers, keratin treatments, deep conditioning and upstyles, along with combinations such as a haircut with color or highlights. A color gloss or run-through can be added to bring out shine and smooth flyaways. The Global Keratin Taming Treatment is a keratin-based system with straightening that lasts three to five months. The relaxer is meant to reduce curl so straightening is easier to manage. Upstyles are a long-lasting option for brides, bridal parties and special events.
Bookings go through the salon's Square page, and listed hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours are charged 50% of the scheduled cost.
