She graduated from IMKinki Cosmetology School in Japan and then spent about a decade as chief stylist at ABANAI, a salon in Osaka that the salon itself describes as top-rated. The salon carries Milbon, Hoyu and Brazilian Blowout products, sourced from Japan and the United States, and they are also sold for home use. The salon describes itself as a state-of-the-art hair salon.

Advanced appointments are recommended, and walk-ins are welcome when a stylist is free. Haircuts, hair treatments, updos and blow-dry can be booked online, while color and perm appointments are booked by email, text or phone. Every service appointment includes a complimentary consultation, and updo consultations are free. Chemical services that take three or more hours need a $50 deposit, which is refunded only if the appointment is cancelled at least seven days ahead. Clients can join a wait list if their preferred time is taken and will be called if a spot opens. Prices vary with hair length and texture and are subject to change. Gratuities are not included in prices; cash or Venmo is preferred, and tips can be added to card payments.
