It welcomes clients of all backgrounds, ages and hair types.
Visits are appointment only, with one client at a time, and walk-ins are not accepted. Before a service the stylist asks about hair history, style goals and daily routine, then assesses scalp health, moisture balance and overall condition, including porosity, dryness and past damage. Clients do not need to arrive with clean hair, and services start on time. Bookings go through the salon's Vagaro page, where prices are also listed. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged a $25 fee.
The silk press is a heat-based straightening style that uses no relaxers or permanent chemical straighteners, and it includes deep conditioning and strengthening treatments. According to the salon, a silk press can last up to 2.5 weeks with proper care. Sew-in options include traditional leave-out, closure, braidless, flip over and sew-in with leave out. The foundation is braided and each track is hand-sewn. Wash and style and remove and reinstall are available with sew-ins, and the salon recommends taking a sew-in out after two months.
Crochet braids are offered pre-looped or hand-tied, can be styled as curls, twists, locs or braids, and come with a takedown service. Premium extensions are 100% human hair and come in the Classic Collection and Signature Raw Collection, in body wave, kinky straight, natural wave and curly textures. The salon supplies the extension hair, so clients do not need to buy extensions beforehand, and they can purchase them at the appointment. Wigs are also offered.
Parking is metered on the street, with meters that can be extended from a phone parking app during the appointment, or in the garage across the street next to Trader Joe's, where one hour is validated. Clients can book online or call (310) 953-3657.
