There are two studios. The Oregon City location is a home-based space just off Holcomb, also known as The Best Little Hair House, and it feels calm, low-key and home-like. Color correction and creative color are offered only there. The Portland location is at Moss & Stone, a shared studio in a historic Slabtown warehouse in NW Portland, which has a coffee offering for clients and accepts walk-ins.

A visit usually begins with a consultation and a conversation about how much time you spend on your hair and what you want it to do. Decisions are made together, and the aim is hair that fits everyday life rather than rigid rules or passing trends, with long-term results favored over quick fixes. Products are cruelty-free, and Keune, LOMA and R+Co are among the lines used, with vegan products available on request.

Booking requires a valid credit card to hold the appointment. Cancellations or reschedules need 72 hours' notice, either online or by calling the stylist. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, and the remaining balance is due at the time of service. Gratuity is appreciated but not expected, according to the salon.

Starts with honest consultation and listening so decisions are made together with the client, and favors techniques that hold up in real life over trends that fade quickly.
