Extensions are the core of the business. Habit Salon credits itself with creating the Habit Extension Method, its own extension system, which it says has been refined over about seven years. Three extension options are offered: the Habit Hidden Method for updo styles, the Habit Active Method for ponytails, and the Habit Clip-In Method, which lets the client decide when extensions are in. A visit starts with a free consultation before booking. A Habit provider looks over the client's goal photos and photos of their current hair, then pairs them with a stylist. At the appointment, clients are asked to remove jewelry and are encouraged to use the changing room, store their shirt, and wear the provided smock.
