The salon is built around fitting a look to each client's daily life and personality. Owner and master stylist Jae Gardener has worked in the professional beauty industry since 2005 and opened a first salon in North Minneapolis in 2012 under the name Water Lily Beauty. The salon describes its hair care as personalized and carried out by skilled artists.
Booking is free, but a card on file is required to reserve an appointment. Cancelling within 24 hours or missing an appointment results in a fee charged to that card. Before booking a color or cut, clients can have a free consultation of about 15 minutes. If a color or cut is not right, clients can ask for a complimentary edit by contacting their stylist within 10 days.
Artists who want to sell their work in the shop can book a 30-minute meeting with Jae to talk it through. Artists bring their work to that meeting.
Styles are chosen to suit each client's life and personality, with personalized hair care from skilled artists.
