This Uniontown location is independently owned and run by a franchisee, who also sets its prices. The salon describes itself as family-friendly and, in its own words, as one of the best hair salons in Uniontown.

A visit usually starts with a short consultation so the stylist can understand what the guest wants. Guests can bring a photo of a look from the online lookbook to guide the conversation. Stylists work with all hair types and textures, including thin, thick, colored and natural hair, and the salon's Clip Notes system stores technical notes from past haircuts so any stylist at a Great Clips location can match a cut that was done before.

Walk-ins are accepted: guests check in at the front desk and are called back when it is their turn. Online Check-In lets guests add their name to the wait list on greatclips.com or in the Great Clips app and see estimated wait times. Online Check-In is not an appointment, and it cannot be used for perms or formal updos, which generally require calling the salon. Hours are Monday to Friday 9 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM, with evening and weekend openings.

The salon takes part in several community programs. Hair donations for Wigs for Kids are accepted and the haircut is free at participating salons. Clips of Kindness provides complimentary clipper cuts for people undergoing cancer treatment, and on Veterans Day the salon offers free haircuts or haircut cards to active and veteran service members. Haircuts are also offered to people with sensory or special needs, with reasonable accommodations made on request.

Each visit begins with a consultation so the stylist understands the request, and stylists are trained in current haircutting and barbershop techniques for all hair types.
