The salon presents itself as a large collective of Russian manicure professionals and focuses only on nails, with no lash or brow services. It states that its stated mission is perfection in Russian manicure and pedicure, and it reports over 1,000 five-star reviews, more than 20,000 guests served and a feature in Vogue. These are the salon's own claims.
Hygiene is a central part of how the studio works. Every service begins with a five-step medical-grade sterilization process: disinfection, ultrasonic cleaning, UV drying in sealed packaging, autoclave sterilization and UV storage. Tools are autoclaved before each appointment, work stations are disinfected after every client, and each manicure station has an exhaust system and filtered fresh-air intake that the salon says meets NY regulation 19 NYCRR 160.16. The studio also has a dedicated fresh-air ventilation system.
A Russian manicure here is a dry technique. Technicians use an electric file, cuticle nippers or scissors, and the hands are not soaked in water. The cuticle is removed from the nail plate rather than pushed back. Appointments usually run about an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the service. On arrival, guests can choose from complimentary beverages such as Harney and Sons tea, Prosecco and Nespresso coffee, served in ceramic or glassware, along with light refreshments and small sweets. Coat check, Wi-Fi, phone charging, bag stands, a waiting area and a laptop-friendly seating area are available for longer stays. The studio aims to be calm, quiet and respectful, and asks guests to keep conversation considerate of others. The team speaks mainly Russian, while the front desk and several technicians also speak English.
The salon works primarily by appointment, with online booking for individual visits and group bookings for friends and family. Same-day walk-ins are accepted when availability allows. First-time guests are strongly encouraged to have a short consultation before booking. Cancellations or rescheduling made at least 24 hours ahead are free; changes within 24 hours or no-shows are charged the full booked amount. Repairs on work done at other salons are offered at a charge and are not covered by the salon warranty, and the studio does not work with acrylic systems. Russian manicure and pedicure services are not recommended for guests under 18. A referral program gives a discount on a referred new guest's first visit and a $20 account credit to the referrer, and gift cards can be bought online.
The studio builds its work around sterilization, a dry Russian manicure method and gel systems, with the stated aim of consistent results.
A calm, quiet studio where guests are asked to keep conversation considerate of others.
