Sugaring is a form of hair removal that uses a paste in place of conventional wax. The paste is mixed from sugar, water and lemon, spread on the skin at room temperature, and pulled away following the way hair grows. According to the salon, regular sessions combined with good aftercare can keep skin smooth for as long as four weeks, gradually thin and slow regrowth, and reduce ingrown hairs.

Gentle exfoliation and moisturizing can begin 48 hours later, two to three times a week. Retail aftercare products are available, and clients can ask about them at their next visit. Clients may be sugared during their menstrual cycle; they are asked to use the complimentary wipe and change into a fresh tampon, disc or cup beforehand.
