The business started on founder Ennjoili's dining room table in West Seattle, selling to friends and family, at pop-ups and online, after Ennjoili left a corporate job to launch it. The founder previously worked across finance, property management, education and beauty.

Online orders outgrew the dining room in fall 2020, and that winter the business moved into a small loft used for both work and living, its first location. It has since added staff and relocated to a larger space. Good Sister also hosts markets, pop-up events and community classes, and aims to be a place where looking after yourself and connecting with others happen together.

Spa services are booked by appointment, with walk-ins taken when there is availability. Appointments can be made online, by text or by email. Store hours are Thursday and Friday 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and street parking is available. Every spa client fills out a spa waiver and consent form, ideally arriving five to ten minutes early.

Sliding scale facials are offered on Thursdays only, with participating providers; bookings on other days are charged full price or need to be rescheduled. Reiki is available in person or virtually, and some Reiki sessions are offered on a pay-what-you-can tier.

Services are offered to people of all genders, including intimate hair removal. Oncology skin consultations can be done in person, by phone or remotely, and an Oncology Support Facial requires medical clearance from the client's oncology care team before booking.
