The studio is owned and operated by Lori Sprester, a licensed esthetician who worked in busy Manhattan spas before opening Good Face in Brooklyn. Every facial is customized, and the choice of treatment can be adjusted at the visit. The Bespoke Facial includes one advanced modality selected during the appointment, such as Gua Sha, a custom peel, oxygen infusion or Mini LED. Sculpt pairs a lymphatic drainage massage with an intra-oral buccal technique and light extractions, and is not recommended during pregnancy or with active acne.
Booking needs a credit card to hold the appointment, though nothing is charged at booking. Appointments are best booked at least three hours ahead, and confirmation and reminder emails are sent. Clients are asked to arrive at least five minutes early, since treatments end on time and fees are not prorated for late arrivals. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy, and no-shows and late cancellations are charged. A 20% gratuity on the full service price is customary. The studio recommends a facial every four to six weeks, and no more than three months apart.
The studio's products are cruelty free, free of parabens, and plant based, and contain no synthetic fragrances. Some are organic, while others combine natural and synthetic ingredients; clients may request a fully organic selection. Dermalogica, Future 5 Elements, and Rituel Sacred Beauty lines are retailed on site. Gift certificates come in set dollar values only, so guests may wish to budget for 4.5% New York sales tax plus a gratuity. Visits, referrals, and reviews earn loyalty points, which can be exchanged for complimentary services.
Each facial is customized, and the treatment can be adjusted at the visit. The owner keeps up with current treatments and technology in the industry.
