About

Tony Promiscuo, an international artist and educator, opened Godiva Salon in Atlanta's Buckhead community and owns and runs it as its artistic director. The salon is located at 110 E. Andrews Dr, Suite 209, in Cates Center, with free parking available.

The salon describes its approach as combining artistry with a commitment to quality and service. A haircut includes a consultation, shampoo, conditioning, styling and a customized plan for maintaining the cut at home. Appointments are scheduled with enough time that guests are not kept waiting, and clients can book their next visit before leaving, with a reservationist handling scheduling.

Thermal reconditioning, also called Japanese hair straightening, has been offered at the salon since 1994, shortly after the treatment reached the United States. The salon says it was the first in Atlanta, and the first in the Eastern US, to offer it, and that some clients travel from other states for it. The salon reports thousands of hours of experience with the treatment and has built a training system and certification for its stylists with help from chemists. Pricing starts at $185 per hour and depends on hair length, thickness and density, so a consultation is recommended.

The salon also runs advanced haircutting classes open to any skill level, with limited class sizes. Boot Camp is a one-day foundational haircutting course that includes a mannequin and lunch, and Cut Loose is a texturing class limited to eight registrants that covers point cutting, chipping, notching, whittling, thumb-free cutting and disconnection.

Combines artistry with a commitment to quality and service, and schedules appointments with enough time that guests are not kept waiting.
