Glo Up Salon Niles

Glo Up was founded in 2019 by Nicole Farsalas, starting in a basement and growing into a salon suite, a storefront and a second location. The Oak Brook studio sits near Oakbrook Center, and the Niles studio on West Oakton Street offers the same services and products.

The menu spans hair, makeup, waxing, custom airbrush tanning and skincare. Bridal work is a major focus, with bridal hair styling including updos, soft waves and modern styles, bridal makeup in natural or glam finishes adjusted to skin tone and features, pre-wedding hydrating facials and custom skincare plans, and bridal trials and consultations. Group bookings are available for bridal parties and VIP guests, and custom bridal packages can be designed around a client's timeline and vision.

Airbrush tanning uses a DHA-based solution applied through a compressor and airbrush system and takes about 15 minutes. The salon says a tan typically lasts 5 to 10 days depending on aftercare and skin type. The tanning solution comes from a California chemist the salon has worked with since 2019. The salon states the solution is vegan, free of animal products and animal testing, free of parabens, uses naturally derived preservatives, and is California Prop 65 compliant.

Waxing follows four steps: cleansing, a pre-wax oil, the salon's own wax, and a finish with post-wax products and hair-minimizing body lotions. The salon describes the wax as giving a virtually painless experience. New guests can choose a bikini line, underarm, nose, ear or brow wax, or take 50% off a full bikini or Brazilian wax.

Beyond appointments, the salon offers a monthly membership, gift cards through its booking sites, and shared chair rentals in a multi-purpose workspace where beauty professionals can meet clients. Spray tan certification classes taught by Nicole Farsalas are held in Oak Brook.
