A visit begins with a free in-person consultation held in a private setting. The consultation looks at hair type and texture, matches color using samples, and ends with an exact quote, with pricing based on method, the amount of hair needed and the desired result. Walk-ins are not accepted, so requests are made through the online form. Hair should be at least about 3 to 4 inches long. Great Lengths installations typically take 3 to 5 hours in the chair, while a full head of tape-ins takes about an hour.

Signature offerings include Great Lengths keratin bond extensions, GL Tapes, Amplify tape-ins (also called tape rows), and fusion extensions. The salon also sells gift cards through its website.
