JoJany Lavalle founded Glitz & Glamour Studio and owns and runs it. The studio began on Frances Dr in Vista, then relocated to a bigger space in San Marcos, which is now its sole location. Its client base reaches across North County, drawing people from Encinitas, Oceanside, Escondido, Carlsbad, Vista, San Elijo Hills and San Marcos itself.

The menu covers nails, including gel-X extensions, acrylic sets, builder gel, fills, rebalances, manicures, pedicures, soak-offs and custom nail art such as French tips, chrome finishes and 3D charms. Hair services include precision and women's cuts with blowout, men's cuts, kids cuts for ages 0 to 12, solid color, foil highlights, balayage, gloss and toner, vivids and keratin smoothing. Facials range from a mini facial to an anti-aging enzyme facial, and waxing covers the face, underarms, bikini and Brazilian areas. Nail implements are autoclave-sterilized, and the studio says it uses hospital-grade sanitation and premium, non-damaging products.

Bridal work is a large part of the studio. Options include a Couture Bride package with an in-studio trial, day-of hair, HD airbrush makeup, custom lash clusters and a veil kit, a Full-Day Wedding Concierge that adds an artist on site from the morning through the reception entrance, and bridal party and bachelorette packages such as a Bride Squad beauty bar and a private studio takeover with champagne. Private bridal preview suites are available in the San Marcos studio. A mobile team travels to venues, hotels and homes across San Diego County, Temecula wine country, La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe and Del Mar. Quotes are itemized and sent within 24 to 48 hours of an inquiry, and the studio recommends reserving a wedding date 6 to 12 months ahead. Digital contracts and trials are available for weddings, quinceañeras and special events.

Visits are by appointment, booked online or by calling to check same-day openings. No deposit is needed to request a slot. Listed prices are starting points, and final details are confirmed in person before work begins. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice, and clients running late are asked to text or call as soon as possible. Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the studio closed on Sundays. Free parking is directly in front of the building. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay and major cards through Stripe are accepted.

The studio runs a Hello Kitty Loyalty Card that adds a digital stamp when a booking is marked complete. After 10 stamps, members unlock a complimentary full nail set, redeemable in person, and birthday visits include a spin on the studio prize wheel. The card can be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The studio describes its atmosphere as private, unhurried and relaxing, and says every guest receives dedicated one-on-one attention and thoughtful consultations. For waxing, clients who take Accutane are asked to be off it for at least six months, and off topical retinoids or AHAs/BHAs for five to seven days; hair should be about 1/4 inch long and clients are asked not to shave beforehand.
